Challenge: The Net Impact designed a new website for Artistic Sensations that combined all of the necessary elements of search engine optimization (SEO) along with a new design to appeal more to their audience, teens and parents. After the website was redesigned, Artistic Sensations wanted to get an idea of how user-experience was for their customers and how visitors navigated throughout the website.

The Net Impact’s Solution: After integrating design and search engine optimization into the retailer’s website, The Net Impact conducted user testing to gauge how friendly the website’s navigation and overall experience was for visitors. The Net Impact had a group of middle aged women, Artistic Sensation’s target audience, navigate through the site to gather useful research and feedback such as: their first impression of the home page, the simplicity of the e-commerce process and overall thoughts on the products displayed on the website.

Results: The tester’s feedback provided valuable information regarding the website and overall usability that otherwise would have been unknown. Gathering this feedback, the good and the bad, supplied The Net Impact with the background research needed to give Artistic Sensations helpful suggestions to improve their website and retain visitor attention. A few of the recommendations The Net Impact suggested based on the usability testing included: emphasizing the personal story about the family behind Artistic Sensations to highlight that it is a family owned business, adding more details regarding the various products and adding all their YouTube videos to the website.
