Web Design Case Study: Karla Smith Foundation
Innovative Web Design
Client: Karla Smith Foundation, a not-for-profit organization supporting families affected by mental illness.
Website: www.karlasmithfoundation.org
Project type: website design
Challenge: The Karla Smith Foundation has a mission: a mission of hope for the future, a mission of support for families affected by mental illness. For such a dynamic organization, their message was lost within a static HTML web design before they approached The Net Impact. The Karla Smith Foundation wanted to make their website easier to navigate, more dynamic and with a hopeful look and feel. They needed a content management system that would allow them to truly share their mission with the world.
Solution: The Net Impact redesigned The Karla Smith Foundation website and rebuilt it in Auctori, a search engine friendly content management system and partner of The Net Impact. After building out the website’s framework, The Net Impact worked closely with Karla Smith to build out the website content. The goal was to tell the foundation’s story and to make sure that story would get found. Using scrolling images and intuitive navigation, it is now so much easier for families seeking support to find The Karla Smith foundation and ultimately get the help they need. As with most of our clients, they created their story; we simply help them share it.
